C7915 Expansion Module on a C7961 Phone

Greetings,

Is there anyway to get a C7915 expansion module to work on a C7961 Phone?  The C7915 docs do not show the 7961 listed as supported, but just wanted to make sure since CME lets you add the phone 'type 7961 addon 1 7915-24 2 7915-24' and generates a system:/its/vrf1/XMLDefault7961-7915-24-1.cnf.xml files

CME is wrong, and the sidecar won't work.
