Call Drop on Consult Transfer

mmaamm238

Hi,

I have a problem with consult call transfer. I have SIP trunk with ITSP. When I want to transfer an external call from 7965 to 7945 it drops but from 7945 to 7965 is successful. Both phones can call to each other and outside and blind transfer works without problem. My CUCM version is 11.5.

How can I troubleshoot it? Is it signaling or codec problem?

Hi,

It seems that you attached the same output for both calls as the destination is always the same.

Are these two phones in a shared line condition?

Please let us know

Regards

Carlo

No, these are not shared line.

The number of 7965 is 710 and the number of 7945 is 706.

Hi,

I see something strange when forwarding from 7965 to 7945.  In the working case (45 to 65) I can see both correct calling and called number while in non working case Calling and Called number are the same  as you make some kind of translation in CUCM while calling out.

Can you please check the CSS configured in both phone and line of both phones and see if it hits a translation pattern or a Called transform mask in ougoing route patterns.

To answer on how to enable Cube feature , under "voice service voip" add "mode border-element" .

After that command, you need to reload your VG to completely activate that feature.

Please let me know

Thanks

Dear Carlo,

Both phones are in None partition and these aren't hit any translation pattern and I don't have Called Party Transform Mask in route patterns.

What is the next step?

Ok,

Let's verify that both phones are in the same Device Pool and have the same MRGL assigned.

Than.. Is MTP option  flagged on Sip Trunk to your VG?

If yes, check the if it's the correct one.

Also check the DP and MRGL assigned to SIP Trunk.

Please let me know.

Carlo

Dear Carlo,

Both phones and SIP trunk are in the default device pool and have the same MRGL assigned.

MTP option is flagged on SIP trunk and MTP Preferred Originating Codec is 711ulaw.

Hi,

I guess that internal consult transfer works both waysc Correct?

I ask you to activate a debug ccsip for both working and non working case. I need to check a couple of things

Thanks a lot

Hi,

Were you able to collect the debug output as I mentioned?

Thanks a lot

Dear Carlo,

Thank you

I attached 7965 to 7945 but for 7945 to 7965 get this error:

The attachment's 7945to7965.txt content type (text/plain) does not match its file extension and has been removed.

Ok,

Let’s try to restart Voice Media Streaming Application Service from Cisco Unified Serviceability —> Features Services Menu

Another question.. Which SIP Profile did you apply to SIP trunk on CUCM?

Please Let me know

Dear Carlo,

It is Standard SIP Profile with Options ping.

Hi,

Did you reset the Voice Media Streaming Application Service ?

The Cucm's SDL Log after a failing test would be very usefull to determine where the process is dropping the call.

Can you provide me it?

Thanks a lot.

Regards

Carlo

Dear Carlo,

Yes I restarted Voice Media Streaming Application Service.

How can I collect SDL Log?

Hi,
You need to download Real Time Monitoring Tool from CUCM Application Menu.
Once installed You can download the log from Trace and log Central , select Collect Files.
Select Cucm process and then you can download the Sdl log.

Please let me know.

Regards

Carlo
