Call Forward Tracing

Does anyone know of an easy way to check and see if a particular extension was forwarded at a given time-frame?  I am sure their are some sort of logs I can pull via RTMT but would like to now which logs as well as what attributes to search in the log files.  I would just like to know if this user accidentally forwarded their IPCC extension which was making calls bounce back to the queue.  Thanks!!

Hi Jason,

You can use the below link on how to collect the ccm traces from RTMT.

Try searching the call in the complete folder using dd="dialed number"

Thanks for the response, I also have a TAC case opened and the engineer is currently reviewing the logs they requested.  If I pull the logs you suggested and do a search on dd= "dialed number" is there a way to see the difference between them actually dialing a number vs using the call forward option?  I basically want to see if this particular user every used the CFwALL during a certain timeframe.

Jason,

Incase of CFAll, first a "dd" happens for a dialed number, but then call manager sees that there is CFA configured and hence it gives PidERR for the dialed number and then a "dd" happens for the forwarded number.

Thanks again, if I manually forward a phone and I know the number I forwarded to I can then search for "dd" within the log files and find the information needed.  Problem is I do not know the digits pressed when then user forwarded their phone.  I did a test from my current phone and selected call forward and then removed it.  After looking through the logs and searching for "dd" I then also saw the string CFwdAll=2418 which also includes the MAC address of the device.  I think this would be a good when trying to see if a user forwarded their phone when not knowing which digits were pressed.  Thanks!!

Hello, I know this is a few year old conversation....just wondering if you ever got answers. I am running into same issue where a SIP phone was forwarded to a wireless phone (7925g). I am trying to look into Call Logs, SDL etc to find out if there is any trace of this phone was forwarded to right number. Would you mind letting me know what logs you were looking into and what was the 'word' in logs you were looking to give you some sort of confirmation of CFWDing? Thanks a lot
