Hello Every One,

                 Here is my issue please.

  1. If the forwarding number contains the prefix “81” then callers from  outside of the local area  are connected with no problem. However, if the call is within the local area, a message is played indicating that this is a local call , and the call does not go through
  2. If the forwarding number contains the prefix “8” only, then callers from outside of the local area receives a message that this is a long distance call and the call does not go through. However, if the caller is within the local area calls, it work fine.

Any suggestions please.Thank you!

Looks like a telco issue, however it is too difficult to conclude it that way.

Could you please explain the topology to us?

Regards

Hi,

Please explain the detail call flow example

IP Phone -- SCCP - CUCM -- H323 -- Gateway -- PRI --- PSTN

What is the complete number been sent.

JB

Did few more tests and Here is the call flow..

Location A

Other deskphone users from same location call below number and call passes through and outsiders calling below deskphone call passes through.

1514XXXXXXX-->Cfwd--->8514XXXXXX(Cell Phone)

IP Phone -- SCCP - CUCM -- H323 -- Gateway -- PRI --- PSTN

Location B

IP Phone -- SCCP - CUCM -- H323 -- Gateway -- PRI --- PSTN

User calling above deskphone number 1514XXXXXXX which will be "OnNet" call and call do not pass through.

Telco message you need to dial 1 or 0 for long distance call

We use Device and line permissions.

Hi shamkumar,

let met try to explain in my own words:

1) the problem is only in Location B (Location A is OK)

2) if Phone B (a Phone in Location B) has a CFAll to (for example):

  a) 81514XXXXXXX configured, then:

a.1) if an Outsider Caller calls Phone B then the call completes.

a.2) if a Local Caller calls Phone B then you receive a message indicating a problem

  b) 8514XXXXXXX configured then:

b.1) if an Outsider Caller calls Phone B then you receive a message indicating a problem.

b.2) if a Local Caller calls Phone B then the call completes

 am I correct?

If my understanding is correct ... it looks like the following (for example):

An Outside Caller (ANI 1408XXXXXXX) calls Phone B (DN 1514XXXXXXX) that has a CFAll to 8514YYYYYYY ... Telco receives a call from 1408XXXXXXX to a local number (514YYYYYYY), as soon as it's not possible (a local number makes local calls, not a Long Distance Number), the call didn't complete.

Check if you are passing the Phone B DN to the Telco ... not the Outsider Caller DN. Ok?

Note: if you send the GW's log ('debug voip ccapi inout') then we can have a better understand about this

Hope this helps.

Hi shamkumar,

 it's a Telco message ... '81' indicates a long distance call and '8' a local call.

In other words, you should add a '81' for all long distances calls and only '8' for all local calls for the Telco to correct complete your call.

Hope this helps.
