Hello,
I need some advice, we have Call Manager 4.1(3) and have around 800 sccp phones. Polycom SoundStation IP 7000 phones were purchased recently which are SIP.
CAn these co exist in either Call Manager 4.1(3) or 8.x ? Would bes practice be either all SCCP or all SIP ?
I have SCCP phone on ASA's and VPN, I am concerned about compatibily between these phones and in general.
I would think either all SCCP or all SIP would be the way to go.
Polycom say's the IP 7000's will not work in a SCCP enviroment, other blogs say that is not true.
I am hoping someone can steer me down the right path.
Thanks alot.

There are no SIP phones in anything previous to CUCM 5.X, if you want to use them as SIP endpoints you'll need to use them on 8.X
Doing some research they appear to work just fine as SIP endpoints in CUCM.
