Call manager Express does not have type 6961

Greetings

I have a 1861 router with cme 7.1 (I think, I got this from the show telephony-services) and when I try to add a new phone 6961, I dont have that type in the cme.

Is this something about the compatibility of the cme-ip phone or am I missing some configuration?

Support for the 6961 starts at CME version 8.0 for SCCP and 9.0 for SIP

In order to get the CME 8.5 I should do an upgrade of the router IOS right?
