calling party transformation configuration

Hi Expert,

I am wondering if it is possible to configure a tranformation as explained below.

USER A's DN is 500 and it's PSTN number is 20430000. I want know if it is possible to configure a transformation so that if USER B  ( DN 501) rather than dialing the DN ( 500)  dial the pstn number 20430000, would the CUCM call the DN 500 directly or would it send the call to the telco ?

Thanks in advance

You can definitely do this, it's called "forced on-net dialing" and all you would need is a translation pattern such as "20430000" or to capture more sequential numbers something like "204300XX" in partition reachable from the calling phones, which translates the called number to for example 5XX, with CSS applied to this translation that has access to the 3 digit phone DNs.

Either option is possible, it comes down to what you configure.

if this helps, please rate

You could also use an Alternate Number configuration under the DN configurations.
