CallManager v4.1(3) - PSTN (Outside Line) Access

Is it possible to use the asterisk (*) key for outside line access instead of using 9. Its my understanding that the asterisk key can be used as a normal digit inside call manager.

that's correct. most usually it's used for things like internal services or transfer directly to VM but you can use it instead of 9 as outside code.
