Hi Team,

Kindly advise:

I can't see all miss call in call history but can see other incoming call.Firstly my issue is that the ring tone is not working when this extension is called. So i recreated ephone DN and Ephone for that extension. Then, the ring tone is recovered but i can't see any miss call in that extension. Phone model is 6921 and CME.

Thanks in advance,

May

Hi May,

What is the phone load you are using for the 6921? Can you click a picture of the phone and upload here? It would help understand exactly what you are unable to see, whether its the missed call tab or any missed calls within the tab.

Lastly, do you see missed calls when another IP phone calls the 6921 phone? What about when PSTN party tries calling, is there a missed call log for that one?

Regards,

Harmit.

hi Harmit,

i attached the phone picture for your reference.

Lastly, do you see missed calls when another IP phone calls the 6921  phone?

no. let me explain my issue. First my issue is Ring tone issue. The ring tone is not ring when it is called. so I solved ring tone issue by recreating ephone dn and ephone. After that i can't see any miss call in call history at that phone.

All others phone in that network can see all miss call.

What about when PSTN party tries calling, is there a missed call  log for that one?

No.

Regards,

May

Hi May,

Thank you for the details. Some more info required:

++     What is the phone load?

++     What is the IOS version and CME version?

++     Is this happening on all 6921 phones you have (assuming you have more than one 6921)?

++     Are you able to see "received" and "placed" calls in the Call History menu?

++     Do you even see the option to select "Missed" under Call History or is it just blank when you select "Missed"?

Can you provide a packet capture of the phone while resetting the phone and when you go into the Call History to view a missed call? Also, please provide the IP address, MAC address of the phone, show run from CME and config file of phone - SEP.cnf.xml.

Regards,

Harmit.

Hi May,

Thank you for the details. This issue is a defect in the phone firmware:

http://tools.cisco.com/Support/BugToolKit/search/getBugDetails.do?method=fetchBugDetails&bugId=CSCua86581

http://tools.cisco.com/Support/BugToolKit/search/getBugDetails.do?method=fetchBugDetails&bugId=CSCub26377

As a workaround, try downgrading the phone firmware to 9.2(4) which should take care of it till the next release of firmware 9.3(2) which has a fix for it is rolled out.

HTH.

Regards,

Harmit.
