Hi everyone!
I was trying to register my CP-7841 and CP-8841 series IP Phones to my Cisco ISR 4321 but unfortunately cannot register because of the ephone type 7841 is not appearing from the list. Btw. my current ios version for ISR 4321 is Cisco IOS XE Software, Version 16.06.04.
Additionally I know somehow my other router is old but if someone can assist me also for the same issue for Cisco 2800 series with IOS version 12.4(13r)T11. Attached here is the current bootflash for additional reference.

No attachment but ensure you’re building it as SIP (voice register pool) and not SCCP (ephone).
The 2800 may be too old. IIRC the 12.4 era predates rhe 7800 series of phones.

Yes because the 7800 and 8800 series of IP Phones only support SIP.

Hi Jonathan,
Any work around for this IP phones because mostly our branches is only registered to their respective ISR 4321 routers unlike with our HQ office which Call Manager are being used.

You don't need a workaround. CME supports SIP phones, including a mixed deployment with older SCCP phones registered to the same chassis. The admin guide covers how to configure it.

Hi Jonathan,
Our issue with our branches is we are not connecting them to our CME. most all our branches IP Phone are connected to their respective branches.

CallManager Express (CME) is call control running on the router chassis.

Hi Jonathan,
Thank you for the admin guide link provided. we have already configured other IP Phones on ISR 4321 as per below sample but unfortunately the 7800 series model doesn't appear in the " type " model which is our current issue now because of the availability of 7900 series IP Phones.
ephone-dn 11 dual-line
number 3410
pickup-group 10
label Ahmed Mutrafi
name Ahmed Mutrafi
corlist incoming Local
ephone 11
device-security-mode none
mac-address 0021.55D6.DAF1
type 7911
button 1:11
Regards,
Jason

As I have already said: you must build all 7800/8800 series phones as SIP with voice register pool instead of ephone; they do not support SCCP. Not sure how I could be any clearer.
Go read the admin guide and actually understand what you’re working with instead of blindly following templates. Or pay a partner/contractor to write you new templates, I guess. Personally, I’d want to learn the product.

Ephone configuration is for SCCP phones. As @Jonathan Schulenberg pointed out to you before the phone that you're setting up is a SIP device, as such you cannot use configuration that is intended for SCCP devices. In the document that Jonathan shared with you there is an outline on how to configure CME to handle SIP devices. Please read that and create the configuration needed. When you have that in place you'll be able to get your 88XX and 78XX phones to work with CME.
