CCM Administrator password reset

Hi,

I am using CUCM 7.1.5...I would like to reset the ccmadmin password...I have found that through CLI it can be done & also from the User Managerment->Application User option page....What is the best practice for this?? Any idea??

Hi there,

According to the CUCM Disaster Recovery Guide:

Note You set the Administrator username and password during Cisco Unified Communications Manager installation, and you can change the Administrator password or set up a new Administrator account by using the Command Line Interface (CLI). Refer to the Command Line Interface Reference Guide for Cisco Unified Solutions for more information.

You can reset the username/password by using the following commands:

utils reset_ui_administrator_name

utils reset_ui_administrator_password
