CDR in CCM 5.x and CCM 6.x

Hi all,

I want to ask about CDR raw files comparison between CCM 5.x and CCM 6.x

Is there any difference between the CDR raw files of the two versions ? May be someone who has implemented both versions can show me what are the differences?

For third party billing system applications, they really need to know about this, because if it's different, it means they have to make new codes to support the raw files.

Any reply will be appreciated.

Hi

There are a number of changes between versions 4.x and 5/6.x.

The CDR format/definition will change with each version to accomodate new features, and the schema is published on cisco.com.

The way in which CDRs should be obtained has also changed in the Linux model.

In versions 4.x, CDR was in the SQL database and accessed via ODBC.

In 5.x upwards, the CM server outputs CDR to an FTP server, which must be provided by your CDR management application.

We are running UCM 6.1.2.

We are planning to deploy third party call billing software.

Can UCM 6.1.2 will support ODBC connectivity?
