Is anyone aware of cellular gateways that work with the Verizon Network and that has had success when deploying a Cisco voice gateway?

Check if you have GSM service,in that case there are many makes to choose forme.I recomend you avoid analog units, use only ISDN or VoiP.

I am looking for a solution that is used for voice communications and not data, sorry for the confusion on that. I wanted to use a cellular gateway for in/out bound dialing on the Verizon Wireless network for cell to cell calls.

Hi
I think you are looking for GSM Gateway with VOIP capabilities. Try to google GSM gateway with VoIP. There are few good one in market such as Hypermedia 4000, Telas, 2N, Orion etc.
You can originate and terminate calls both direction.
