Hi experts, we have an requirement to change the CUCM IP address, the environment has 1 x cucm pub, 1 x cucm sub and Unity. Understand that we need to change the publisher IP first, followed by subscriber and trunk config. Apart from taking DRS backup, is there anything else that needs to be taken care? Thanks

Make sure to read the documentation on the change to make sure you have the proper procedure, then update any references to that IP (DNS, DHCP, configuration, etc.) in your environment.

Hi there

Yes, make sure you read the CUCM IP Address change documentation well enough and try to do it on a lab network if you have access to.

CUCM

CUC

Just to keep a note of these points before the change,

  1. Make sure the cluster status is healthy (RTMT, Alerts, Unified Reporting DB Status , CLI, try the below command)

show perf query class "Number of Replicates Created and State of Replication"

The state should say “2”

  1. show network cluster (Check the nodes in the cluster and authentication)
  2. Check the network connectivity and DNS server configuration (utils diagnose module validate network)
  3. Backup using DRS
  4. DNS Entries – forward/reverse lookups
  5. In CUCM administration change the IP Address of server (Subscriber)
  6. Enterprise parameter > Phone URL Parameters & Secured Phone URL Parameters Secured Phone URL Parameters
  7. Change ip from OS Admin or CLI
  8. In Unity Connection, System Settings > Cluster change ip address
  9. Change ip from OS Admin or CLI
  10. Reboot the servers

Good luck !!!

Hope this helps!

Cheers
Rath!
