In this scenario I would go with 3905 as it sip phone and have PC port as well, it cost shows 99 USD, you may order these via partner so you may get some discount(it depends).

6901 phone and spa are analog so wouldn't meet your requirements.

thanks Hussa for replay, ok , i got the point, dont you know any third party ip phone compatible with my scenario?? regards,

Yes, there are 3rd party phones are also available in market but you wouldn't get support from Cisco for these phones if some features(conference, forward etc) don't work. If you go for any Third party phone then I would suggest you to do POC first (check all features) then procure them.

Suresh

thanks Suresh for the note about the features.

will you help to give me some names of the third party to start working on them to get the most compatible ip phones..

regards,

I have seen many using "Grand stream" phones.

FWIW- I would constrain yourself to the 7800 or 8800 series if you go the route of a Cisco phone. Everything else (eg 3900, 6900, 7900, etc) are either End of Sale or might as well be. Also, the SPA phones will not register to CUCM.

The 7811 is the lowest model phone in that list and appears to have a street price of ~$170 based on a casual Google search.

If you go the third-party route be sure that you have researched what functionality you will loose. Some PBX features are only available on Cisco phones. Also, Cisco phones have the advantage of not requiring manual configuration on the phone itself to make it register. The administrative burden of third-party handsets will be higher. If cost is your motivator, you may want to consider Cisco Jabber and just buying a headset.

I am also interested in finding inexpensive Cisco phones.

It has now been about a year since this was first asked, and Cisco still offers the 3905 with no end of life notices. This is a speaker phone, with a 100 megabit internal passthrough port, and is approximately US$85-95.

The 6901 is even more basic, no speakerphone, no port passthrough, and also around US$85-95.

Both of these models are listed selections for adding phones to

Cisco Unified CM Administration
