Dears,

I have 7925G cisco phone and it is not connecting to my wlc2504 controller. i configure the wlc based on cisco's configuration guide step by step, but the phone is not registering with the wifi ssid. i managed to make the phone connect to my tplink wireless router without any problems, but it is failing to connect to my wlc wifi network. all clients can associate with wlc for browsing internet except my cisco phones.

Note my phone is CP7925G

please any help.

Thanks in advance.

On the 792x: run 1.4.7 - nothing earlier

1.4.7 firmware or above is strongly recommended, due to the CSCut25250 (Phones stops sending SCCP messages) fix.

Read the  below Guide.

First, what firmware is the WLC and what firmware is the phone running on?

Second, has anyone done a debug on the WLC to determine what is failing?

Third, has anyone tried configuring an OPEN SSID and see if the phone joins or not?

Fourth, what QoS is set on the WLC?

WLC firmware is 8.3.143.0

Phone firmware is cp7925g-1.4.2.loads and wlan driver id is 1.0.0.54 and wlan firmware id is 4.4.56.1 and boot load id is bl-h301-c36e7e03

Yes, i tried open ssid but failed.

QoS is configured based on wlc configuration guide. But i dont have any Qos configured on the rest of the network. it is a small network.

Access points are AIR-LAP1041N-E-K9

Wow.  That is very old firmware right there.
IF I remembered correctly, 1.4(3)SR train (and newer) firmware are highly recommended.  Latest firmware is 1.4(8)SR train.

And this means it is not a wireless issue but the phone.  I presume someone factory-reset the phone?  How about the CTL?
