I installed ip phone 840 and need to configure corporate directory through admin setting but it said read only , how to enable setting on cisco 840

If the device is registered with CUCM, I believe that could be the reason. Furthermore, if the CUCM is synchronized with LDAP, there should be no need for the phones to sync separately.

but we cannot search for contacts of our directory

@Nithin Eluvathingal we cannot reach any contact.only by dial **ll number.do you know a solution to see contacts
