Cisco 8841 pickup not work on CUCM 11.5

Good Day,

We have recently upgraded from CUCM v10.5 to v11.5. We only have Cisco 8841 phones on the site and the pickup group does not work. The softkey is present but nothing happens when pressing the button. Also tried created new softkey templates does not resolve it. I think it may be a bug?

Anyone have this issue?

Regards

Hi I have the same situation here.

We are at the latest firmware sip88xx.11-5-1-18. This is a Cisco Bug:

CallPickup not working for phones sending hostname in INVITE-From header
CSCva71953
The workaround works but is not applicable in large scale.
Let me know if you find a solution - but I think we have to wait until Cisco fix this.
Greetings, Rene

What troubleshooting have you done??

if this helps, please rate

its new site and its the first time we using this model.

just applied various softkey templates thats it.

Then you want to make sure all your pickup groups are properly configured and associated to the phones.

Hi Rene,

I also found the bug, sorry i have not updated here. We going to wait for a newer release to come out as we do not want to go to an engineering build.

The workaround we applied was to enable auto pickup which fixes the issue globally but obviously with one less step.

Putting URI's is to much work as the client has no requirement for this.

Regards

workaround :  configure a Directory URI on the Directory Number configuration page on each line assigned to a SIP phone using the call pickup feature.

This Directory URI can be anything as this changes the calling type to blended versus a DN only type call.
