Cisco 8851 Phone - Increase Ringer Sound

Hi there - I couldn't find anyone else post about this on here so I thought I might open a thread to get some ideas.

We have a very particular use case in our organisation for a phone to be present in a large open hall space that needs to be answered when it rings. Users have reported that the ringing sound of the phone itself is too quiet and can't be heard despite having set the handset to max volume on the ringer. We explored the option of putting more telephones in this space but due to the limited cabling infrastructure in this space, that is not really a viable option.

The sound of the ringer needs to be increased past the maximum that the phone can go to. Has anyone come up against this issue/use case before? And if so what kind of options are there that we can try? We've considered buying a USB speaker but we're also unsure if this would work.

Any ideas welcome

My idea would be to use an external ringer, which you configure in CUCM as shared line device, and connect the ringer via analogue adapter (ATA or VG) or you search for SIP capable ringers.

This would be my suggestion as well. Suggestion on some posts on the same topic.

Edit: I just checked the video on YouTube for the Algo device and I would likely not have done it the way it is outlined in it as it seems unnecessary complicated to use a hunt list. I would have configured the directory number as a shared line between the Cisco phone and the Algo device. That way it will ring simultaneously on both.
