cisco BE6K HA

Dear All,

Please advise on the issue below

we've installed BE6K with version 9.1(2) (CUCM, CUC and IM&P) two years back and now upgrading it to version 11.0. once we complete the upgrade we want deploy high availability and we've ordered new BE6M-M4-K9=. server. Are we required to add any licenses to make the HA up and running ?

Hi Kennedy,

you dont need a separate license for the new server for redundancy if that's what you meant, but you will have to get you license migrated to 11 once you upgrade.

Adding to what Jitender is saying, licensing model has changed starting version 9 and is based on user licenses now instead of SW, Feature, DLUs as it used to be till 8.x. Hence simply go ahead and purchase the new BE6K, deploy CM on it add to the existing cluster nothing to worry about the licenses.

Deepak

Hi Kennedy,

As informed above we don't need any license for redundancy that is more of configuration then license.

If you need more information on licensing you can look at below links
