Cisco Call Connector and TAPI

Can we disable tapi registration for CISCO Call Connector.

The reason being, I am using another application which need tapi registration and I dont want couple of users to start up call connector which will register to tapi and therefore the 3rd part salesforce app wouldnt work.

I am using CME.

I think you can edit the service start mode in windows service administration, so that TAPI driver starts automatically,  but callconnector does not.
