Hi,
I need a Info on Cisco CCM.
The requirement is....
I am calling from my IP Phone " A " to a PSTN phone " B "
I have directory number on my ip phone for example 80382XXXXX
I need when the calls comes to my phone through PSTN i should not get the actual DID.Is there a way where i can convert the incoming dispaly number ie 80382XXXXX to some toll free number example 1800456XXX.It should display me the toll free number instead the original number. This i need because if i redial the number it should direct it to the Toll free number.
How can achieve this option. Can we achieve this through calling party Transformation mask.
Please let me know.I am using CCM 7.1.5 Version
Thanks & Regds,
Lalit

Yes you can use a calling party transformation on the end device (IP phone) receiving the call to change the number displayed on the phone.

Hello,
you have two options:
1. Calling Party Transformation Mask
2. pass the calls by Translation Pattern.
Thanks,

Hi,
As AFAIR, if you translate the calling number with calling number transformation pattern, it will change only the display while the phone is ringing. YOu will still have original number in missed/received calls. On the other hand if you go with translation patterns, you will need to change all the calling numbers that come to your system, because translation criteria is called party and you are chaniging calling party...
Hmmm... I know I haven't been very useful, maybe somebody can tell where and if I went wrong?
Best regards
