Hi,
We have Cisco CME 3825 in our production environment.
Whenver we make an external call through our Cicso IP phone the call goes blank at random intervals in between the conversation but the phone shows "connected" i.e. both parites cannot hear each other as the line stays connected.
However, if we make a call to our branch office throught our site-to-site VPN there is no such issue.
I think this problem is from our service provider as no configuration changes have been made on our router, but wanted to know if someone else face this issue ever.

Just as an hint, specify exact type of voice circuit, and exact IOS version you're using.

As expected. It was an issue with the service provider.
