Hi all, I think I have a problem with my carrier but, I would like a second opinion and really what I need to say to them to fix the problem besides that the outbound call will not work.

I have a Cisco 2911 running voice/CME IOS 15.2.4...up until a few days ago all was working well. We have a 4 port FXO card that we can receive inbound calls but, no outbound calls work.

Below are some highlights of my debug voip ccapi inout and debug vpm signal

I've tried adding " no supervisory disconnect" and " no battery reversal" neither worked.

Is this a cabling or voltage issue...how would I tell?

Thanks,

Dan

Hi Dan,

It definetly looks like a provider issue. The FXO endpoints are basically like a plug that draws power from the FXS. In your case it is the providers circuit which is housing the FXS.

Now from the output that you have shared:

"Apr 18 01:46:04.084: htsp_process_event: [0/1/0, FXOLS_WAIT_DIAL_TONE, E_DSP_SIG_1100]fxols_power_denial_detected"

It clear depicts that you are not getting power from the provider. Hence no circuit is available to route the call to the provider.

Here are some suggestions if you would like to try:
1) If there are any working port try swapping the 0/1/0 line to that and see if we see the same symptom.  ----> if the issue is following the line or the card.
2) Try to check your cabling.
3) If the aforesaid is already been performed, please reach out to your provider.

Here is the call disconnect (cause value=34) link, if would like to verify:
