Problem :
+++ Cisco Dir Sync not restarting through GUI
+++ 8.5.1ES102.15900-102 / Unity Connection
+++ Seem to be facing a bug scenario : CSCts52947
Issue : No workaround seems to be mentioned in the Bug description . Can some one please assist on how can we get going on restarting the service through GUI -- what are the steps we can check.
Thanks.

Hi Abhishek,
Hope all is well buddy
The workaround;
Workaround:
Deactivate the service from Service Activation and reactivate it.
this is different than a restart & should work for you.
Cheers!

Hi Rob,
Needed to confirm on one more front -- since we are deactivating it for once -- what would be the repercussions of the same -- in terms of the LDAP syncing -- and other related syncing features.
Thanks.

Hi Rob,
Would it be possible for you to update this discussion in a couple of minutes by any chance -- the clients are in for a big change in the next couple of hours on their unity connection
Thanks.

Hi Abhishek,
I wouldn't think this should cause any issue as you will just deactivate
wait 1 or 2 minutes and then reactivate
Cheers!
