Cisco IP Phone 7912G highest cucm version that supports it

Hi all,

i'm getting confused about the model 7912G and which is the higher cucm version can supports it. I had a look to these links:

and it seems the higher cucm version that is able to support 7912G is cucm version 8.5 with firmware 8.0(3)/SCCP, 8.0(1)/SIP .

Manager Release 11.0(1a)SU1

and it mentions 7912G with firmware 7912-8.0.1.1-sip  or 7912-8.0.4-sccp.

So my question is if 7912G works with cucm 11.0(1a)SU1

Hi,

7912 would work on 11.0(1a)SU1 and it will also work with the latest 11.5.X version of CUCM.

If you run into any issue you will get full support from TAC.

This firmware version supports the Skinny Client Control Protocol (SCCP) and is supported on Cisco CallManager Release 5.0 and higher

So until a model is deprecated like 11.5.X has some, you will get full support.

Deprecated Endpoints

As of Cisco Unified Communications Manager Firmware Release 11.5, the following phones are not supported:

• Cisco IP Phone 12 SP+ and related models

• Cisco IP Phone 30 VIP and related models

• Cisco Unified IP Phone 7902

• Cisco Unified IP Phone 7905

• Cisco Unified IP Phone 7910

• Cisco Unified IP Phone 7910SW

• Cisco Unified IP Phone 7912

• Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7920

• Cisco Unified IP Conference Station 7935

If you use any of these phone models on an older release of Cisco Unified Communications Manager and you upgrade to Release 11.5, the phone will not work after the upgrade completes.

7912 will not work on 11.5 and beyond as this is one of the phones deprecated in version 11.5:

So, latest CUCM version for this phone is 11.0.

OK , now is quite clear. Do you mean 7912G will work under 11.0(1a)SU1 and also 11.0(1)?

7912 works on all versions up to 11.5, so any 11.0 version is fine.
