hello,
I would like to have information on a Cisco 7942 phone.
The green lamp (speaker) will continue to remain lit and the phone no longer works.
Is it possible to repair the phone ?
Thank you for help.
Valentin.

Try a factory reset as per the following:
Step 1 Unplug the power cable from the phone and then plug it back in.
The phone begins its power up cycle.
Step 2 While the phone is powering up, and before the Speaker button flashes on and off,
press and hold #.
Continue to hold # until each line button flashes on and off in sequence in amber.
Step 3 Release # and press 123456789*0#.
You can press a key twice in a row, but if you press the keys out of sequence, the factory reset will not take place.
After you press these keys, the line buttons on the phone flash red and the phone goes through the factory reset process.
Do not power down the phone until it completes the factory reset process and the main screen appears.
Let us know if it works.

Looks like the phone needs to be replaced if the factory reset has also not helped.

The guarantee was abolished on 2011 .. I cannot replace the phone.
I would like know if it's possible to repair this phone or not.
If isn't possible i buy a new material.

There is a chance for the device to be firmware corrupted as well.
1. CUCM version
2.Default firmware version of the phone and the current firmware of the phone.

I don't think that the problem is a firmware version.
The issue started as a result of a power failure.
Sorry for my english but i'm french and i speak little bit english.

Hello, ValentineNICOLLE.
Since the warranty of your Cisco 7942 phone already expired and irreplaceable, i would suggest that you try to avail the Cisco Trade In Program. If you want further assistance, email me directly at (bsiapco@cisco.com)
Thanks!
Barry
