i'm using CUCM 10.5 and i had all ip phones registered
i had two vlans created on HP switches (DATA =1 and VOICE=12)
i separated the local network by using new cisco switches (with new voice vlan =100) connected to ip phones
so i should delete vlan informations on ip phones
my problem is when i tried to make hard reset to delete all vlan info my ip phone 7962 still on the upgrading step even when i turn it off and i tun it on still upgrading
please help me to fix this issue

Hi,

why you are doing hard reset because you are changing the vlan ? there is no need for that.

Make sure you are creating DHCP pool for the new vlan, make sure you are configure the layer 2 in correct way to allow the new Vlan in the trunks.

also in cisco switch, make sure that the cdp advertisement is enabled.

did you check if the phone get an IP from show cdp neighbor ?

I agree with you, we did not need to make hard reset to ip phone it's just a mistake of my partner who made the action
he reset the IP phone by using the method Given on the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wshwUjGrEMM

but still display on the scene "upgrading"

the dhcp configured on CUCM and CDP enabled

all others ip phone are registered and work fine except CP7962

Anas

Hi.

Download an earlier firmware version for 7962 and instal it on CUCM.

Restart tftp and reset all phones of that type.

Than you can put back the actual default load and upgrade to that release.

Check the default load in the device pool for  7962 has the required firmware version.
