Hi there,
Im trying to connect Cisco IP phone to HP procurve swicthes. I really have no past work with HP swicthes. So I was looking for some help in how to configure HP switches to support Cisco IP phone ( Voice vlan, QoS and anyother configuration that might be required).
Thanks

Hi,
for hp procurve switches, the command line is similar to cisco. you need to configure the port as a trunk since there is no voice vlan in hp.
be aware that procurve use different terms for trunk and access ports.
access (cisco) ---> untagged (hp)
trunk (cisco) ---> tagged(hp)

Just to clarify, HPE-Aruba (former Procurve) certainly do support voice vlan. Within the vlan context use the command voice. This will set the vlan as a voice vlan. Then tag the vlan on the appropriate ports.
AOS-S switches support LLDP-MED for phones, but you can also enable CDPv1 support specifically for older phones. Also pre-standard power to support the 7940/7960 phones.
