You have to install the locales (languages) you need and then configure the phones to use the language you want.

Hi,

Thanks for the response. The locale we need is already in the CUCM which is English. The phones however are in Lebanon language which we need to convert to English. The phones are not registering. How do we convert these phones to use the CUCM default. ?

Thanks

If the phones are not registering to CUCM, then they won't download the english language files from CUCM. I think this should be clear to you.

What type of phones do you have? Cisco Enterprise phones, Cisco MPP phones, any other type of phone?
Were they already registered to a different PBX or CUCM?

Enterprise 7811, These were registered to a CUCM where Lebanon was the locale, we got this to a different location now. So just resetting the phones should work ?

Thanks

Yes, factory reset should be enough, assuming that the phones will then get the new CUCM's IP's in the option 150 via DHCP.

If your phones had been registered with another CM then they will have a ITL file stored on them that will stop it from registering to any other CM. To get the phone to register you’ll need to clear out the ITL file. To do that you’ll need to do a reset of the security settings on the device. This is an option to doing a complete reset of the device.
