Cisco Router 4321 Dial-peer to ATA 192

Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone has ever connected a ATA 192 to a Cisco router using dial-peers and not CUCME?

Would like to see if it is possible to setup a basic back to back Pots (4321) SIP VOIP - SIP VOIP (ATA192) Pots. Like you can do between two routers without Call Manager Express.

Many Thanks

Matt

I doubt that would work as the ATA is an endpoint device and as such it needs to register with a call processing system, such as CM or CME.

Hi All, just for info. I went back to this recently and had another look at the ATA-192-3PW-K9 to see if I could make it work back to back with a Cisco router acting as a voice gateway. After some playing around I managed to get it to work and to be honest it is pretty good. Don't have another ATA at the moment but I think you should be able to back to back two ATA's if you ever need to setup a private simple voice network between two points for little cost.

Just remember you need to  ATA-192-3PKW-K9 version.

Cheers

Matt
