Cisco UC540 configuration questions

Hello,

I recently configured a Cisco UC540 phone system.  My experience in phone systems is pressing 9 to dial out.  However, being familiar in routing and switching has made my first phone system install fairly straight forward, especially with the assistance of Cisco Configuration Assistant and the cca_sbcs_admin_guide.pdf.

I have a few outstanding issues.

1.  My client requested the programmable buttons to function as push-to-talk, so I have configured the button type as Intercom.  My client has come back and asked if we can configure one button to operate push-to-talk, and also to transfer a call (place a call on hold, press the button and have the call either be directly transferred or ring the other phone).  Basically, the client does not want to put the call on hold, press transfer and enter the extension or tell the other user to pick up the line in question.  No problem if this cannot be achieved, I just need a more valid source than myself to say so.  If not, is there a comparable function?

1.5.  Basically, it's the same request as #1, expect for transferring calls, transfer to voicemail (maybe the same function)

2.  The old phone system had a port marked as Page that was connected to an overhead PA system.  I plugged this line into an FXS port, and configured it as Ground Start.  The paging portion works perfectly.  However, when the line is hung up it has a constant static hiss.  Making the port Loop Start results in a constant dial tone sound.  I don't see any other configuration options to address this issue, so I hope this can be fixed.

3.  My client is requesting that I configure a "call back" function after X number of seconds from being put on hold.

Any help is appreciated

1 & 1.5 - can't be done. Only one function per button. However if you configure it as blf-speed-dial it can single-button call, transfer and monitor.

2 You can try the MoH port instead. Otherwise you will need an impedence adapter (phone patch or similar terms)

3. yes, On-Hold Indicator, check CME System Administrator Guide.
