Cisco unity connection Directory handler Search issue

Hi All,

We are facing an issue with directory handler for cisco unity connection  9.1.2.13900-621, When calling unity main number and  selection option 4 to route to directory handler, where it's not searching the name when tried with last and fast name search  query as it will ask to enter the details  but it will only come with 2 search option but there are many users/search results  with same last name.

Option for maximum search in directory handler is set to 10 and users are listed in list in directory checkbox with recorded names.

Can someone help what wrong with directory search and what needs to be do for resolving?

Have you tried voice enabling the directory handler (check box)? That version is certainly capable of it. That might be a whole lot easier than trying to get people to enter more information via DTMF. It would also be pretty crummy as the caller to have to listen to it try and read back more than 10 names.

As per our standard that option is unchecked, so we prefer to use typing last name to search query but with no results, Any other way to fix this?

There might be something in system or service parameters, but I still think that getting a return of that many entries isn't practical. Is there a breakdown you could do by department to make it return less entries? You would have to find some way to break people up by department using either COS or partitions and calling search spaces for the directory handlers.
