What exactly is the VG and how is connected to rest of the other things ?

The VG is cisco 2821 and is connected via E1 to pbx.

Could you upload the configuration for better understanding

Hi,

where are you calling with "9" ?

hi

here is my config:

dial-peer voice 10 pots

port 0/2/0:15

forward digit all

destination-pattern 9

----------------------

when I dial i can not here PSTN dial-tone from pbx.also the important thing is that when I dial 9 no time slot activation happend

i hear just noise some kind "shshshshsh"

in this point i can dial my number after finishing my dial the connection established.

but i want to hear PSTN dial tone after dialing 9

thank you

Hi, you are not calling any number because the 9 is absorbed being it pots DP. Add "no strip-digit" and PBX should connect you to PSTN. You can also do a DP like 9.....T this way you can call directly, no need to wait for dialtone.

Please rate post if it helps!

Hi again

its mandatory to hear pstn dialtone.

please guide me to hear PSTN dialtone.

waiting for you reply

As mentioned before, configure as indicated and you should have dialtone from PSTN.

hi

I will do your command and will let you know

Dear freind

i provide my your command but still can not hear PSTN dial tone

can you provide me something else?

regards

Are you using CM or CME ? Sometime you can configure "secondary dialtone" to emulate PSTN dialtone.

there is no any CM or CME on my network

there is just ericcson MD110 and cisco gateway (CISCO 2811)

we are trying to make call from PBX extentions.

but still we can not here PSTN dial tone!

its very importatnt..

if you need further information let me know.

thank you for following up

The 2821 is connected to both PBX and PSTN ? And to for which purpose ?

Please specify with a diagram all that is connected as requested before.
