Ive got a CME box that users are complaining that they sometimes cant get to the phone before it goes to voicemail. Ive searched the net and found plenty of solutions for Call manager, but nothing for CME. I would like to change the time to about 18-20 secoends which I understand would be about 4 rings before going to unity?
Any ideas? thanks
luke

Hey Luke,
You are right on the money my friend
10 = timeout seconds
call-forward noan target-number timeout seconds
So yes, try changing that to 18 or 20.
call-forward noan 3208 timeout 20
Cheers!

You do it at the line level:
ephone-dn 5 dual-line
number 1004
call-forward busy 7000
call-forward noan 7000 timeout 20

Hi Luke,
call-forward noan
To configure call forwarding so that incoming calls to an extension (ephone-dn) that does not answer are forwarded to another number, use the call-forward noan command in ephone-dn or ephone-dn-template configuration mode. To disable call forwarding, use the no form of this command.
call-forward noan target-number timeout seconds
timeout seconds - Sets the duration that a call can ring with no answer before the call is forwarded to the target number. Range is from 3 to 60000. There is no default value.
From this good CME doc;
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucme/command/reference/cme_c1ht.html#wp1063669
Cheers!

Thanks Rob, but maybe im misunderstanding your reply. User say that their phones ring twice before going to unity vociemail. How can i change it so that the phones ring say 4 time or 6 times before going to voicemail?
Thanks

Here is an example of one of our settings
call-forward noan 3208 timeout 10
Is the 10 in this the problem? should i change it to 18?
