Hi Guys,

My Customer have solution with CME 8.6 and, He need to do lock the phone volume/ringtone about IP Phone. I would like know if is possible to do this. If yes, is possible to do in the global mode?

I read the fórum: https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/12081441/possible-lock-phone-volumeringtone where tp://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/phones/ps379/products_qanda_item09186a00800a6763.shtml)

I did the test in my lab using the one IP phone, and didn´t worked. The additional information, iI have  a CUCM not CME.

Thanks,

Wilson

I'm not aware of any option to lock down volume change in CME. There is a command close enough under telephony-service called "service phone settingsAccess" but it won't lock down the volume settings. :(

settingsAccess {0 | 1 | 2}

Enables and disables the Settings button on an IP phone.

  • 0—Disabled.
  • 1—Enabled (default). The phone user can modify features by using the Settings menu.
  • 2—Restricted. The phone user is allowed to access User Preferences and volume settings only.

You could speak to your Cisco account manager and ask for new feature support.
