CME compatibility with phone loads

On http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucme/requirements/guide/cme71spc.htm I seem to be under the impression that CME only supports version 8.4(1) of the 7941 phone loads.  Is that really the case?

I have a CME 7.1 running with "load 7941 SCCP41.8-5-4S" configured. One phone has recently started dropping calls mid-call. Could this be an issue with the version mismatch?

Hi Tom,

Specific CME versions are tested with the versions listed on the

"requirements" doc like the one you linked, but are not limited

to those versions. It is often appropriate to upgrade phone firmware levels

on CME and is fully supported

I don't think your issue would be related to the relationship

between CME 7.1 and 8-5-4S . I'll have a look for bugs that may be

hitting that version.
