CME feature in 4221 ISR router

TrickTrick

Level 3

Hello everybody,

it might be a stupid and easy question but I really suffered to find a clear answer for this

I'm trying to enable the CME feature in the ISR 4221, but the feature seems to be not existing by doing a "show license detail cme-srst" here's the output :% Error: No license for cme-srst found - License feature not found

verified a list of features in each router family, the 4221 doesn't seem to be there also . reference : https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/routers/access/sw_activation/SA_on_ISR.html#pgfId-1204189

beside of that, should I add the license before ? how to get a free trial license then so I can add it for a 30 days training period

Thank you

you might be on a previous IOS version.

Can you put:

# show version

# show license

Hi Bichacko,

Here's a pastebin link to both outputs : https://pastebin.com/bL4M07bt

I don't see a "uck9" license. Did you purchase this part of a UC bundle ? You should at least see a evaluation license for the same. Where did you purchase this from ?

This was my thought, didn't find the uck9 license and started wondering how can I add it
we have replaced those ISRs with new ones for one of our clients, so decided to prepare a small demonstration on how telephony can work with a router like this one (4221), for that purpose I'm looking for a test license, usually I guess givs 30 days by default in those routers, What can I do in that situation ?

I didn't realize that it is a 4221. This router does not support UC. Hence you see the missing UC license.

You need to have a minimum ISR-4321.

Ah ok thanks for the confirmation, thought the same as I explained in the OP.. things are more clear now thank you
