Hi Experts,

we have a Router IOS version 15.5(3)S4b, 40 IP Phones 7821, 2 IP Phones for conference 8831, 1 IP Phone 8841, and 1IP Phone 8851.

1st question : how I can know the version of CME ? I searched in the Compatibility Matrix cisco wensite, I didn't find this version.

2nd question : what version of firmware can I use for these IP Phones ?

3rd question : I used telephony-service command, then max-ephone, the max the IP Phones who give me 42, knowning that, we had purchased 45 Basic License, and 1 Enhanced License. why it give me 42 (maximum of numbers).

thank you for helping me ?

Youssef.

the following couple of links has all details of CME compatibility and supported platforms, IOS and firmware versions

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/unified-communications/unified-communications-manager-express/products-device-support-tables-list.html

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucme/requirements/guide/33matrix.html

Hi Manish,

thank for your quick answer.

I don't find the 15.5S4 version on these links. where i can exactly find the Compatibility Matrix for this version ?

I'm confused, why this version doesn't exist in this board.

Thank you again.

Youssef

The compatibility matrix that i shared lists the minimum recommended IOS for any CME version, you need to ensure that either the same IOS version or a higher one is used to install the corresponding CME version. Not every IOS version will be listed, but it doesn't mean it is not supported.
