I have a home security system that has a land line (PSTN) interface that allows me to check status, modify operation and control X-10 devices remotely. I now have VOIP in my home and the analog modem in my home security system does not respond to keypad commands over VOIP. Is there a device that will either convert VOIP to PSTN or that will operate over the internet and provide a PSTN interface to my device. I am looking for something that will not require a monthly fee to maintain. If that were the case I could go to my phone company and get my landline reactivated for an exorbitant monthly fee.

Thanks for your response. I found the Cisco SPA112 on-line -- is that the same as the ATA112? When I Googled ATA112, the SPA112 came up. From its description it seems like what I'm looking for. However, it says it has two ports, each with an independent phone number. Do you know how the phone number gets assigned? Would I have to get an additional phone number through my ISP? Or does the device come with already assigned phone number(s)? Or can I use my existing VOIP phone number?

Sorry, I meant SPA 112.
The back of the SPA 112 looks like the image below.
You connect the internet port to your cable/modem and your security box to Phone 1.
Or can I use my existing VOIP phone number?
Yes you can as long as you can get someone to configure the SPA 112.
