Hi.
Currently we have a CCME 4.x running providing Paging to a group of IP Phones. Customer would like to integrate areas of the building where they only have external speakers integrated with a Valcom system. I was wondering if we can add to the paging groups an ATA device running SCCP connected to the VALCOM system using an FXS port?
Customer would like to send a page that will get the phones and the external speakers at the same time..
Is that possible?? Probably not but I would like to be sure.
Thanks in advanced,
-Jose

Yes, it's possible. You can also configure an FXS port in SCCP mode and connect the loudspeaker there. Personally I would prefer this latter solution.

I attempted to connect a FXS port in SCCP mode but could not get the port to pass audio from the multicast paging group. I also explored using an ATA, but was told they would not pass audio from multicast paging either. I finally settled on a somewhat unique idea of using an old PC running IP Communicator. This works, but I would love to find a less cumbersome solution.
