CME Phones showing incorrect time

Good Afternoon CSC,

We are facing an issue on our Ireland VG where the time on the phone is 1 hour behind the time shown on the router. I have changed the time-zone to make it one hour ahead but still the phone shows the incorrect time.

NTP is configured and synchronized: -

Clock is synchronized, stratum 8, reference is 127.127.1.1

I have done a "create cnf" and then carried out a reset to the phone but its still reflecting incorrect time.

CME version 2800 Software (C2800NM-IPVOICEK9-M), Version 12.4(22)T5

Firmware on the phones: - phone/7945-7965/apps45.8-3-2-27.sbn

We are using only 7965 and 7945.

Please advise how we can fix this issue.

You may need to update phone firmware.

Also note you are not using NTP, but just internal clock, that equals to not configuring NTP at all.

Check if the time zone cmd missing under telephony service

Dear

kindly find the below configuration

router(config)# clock time EST (type your timezoen)
router(config)# clock summer-time EST 
router# Clock (type your date and time).

telephony -service

time-zone 5

time-format 24

date-format dd-mm-yy

Create-cnf

---------------------------------------

after that reset all your phones , the time will be fixed.

As kaja_2kj3  mentioned set teh timezone under telephony services and create configuration files under Cme.

after that reset all phones it will work.

router updates own clock from NTP server but Ip phones take time and date updates from CME not router.

All the IP-Phones 6941 has the correct time but unfortunately all the 79xx IP-Phones have wrong time (missing one hour).

Could you please help me on this?

Please dont forget phone "type" under ephone-dn, it looks like:

ephone-dn xxx

number xxx

type 79xx

Then reset the phone, you also can check by "show telephony tftp-binding " and looking for item of your phone "SEPxxxx.xml" , it contains the timezone setting for IP Phone
