Does anyone know of a good working config for this topology...
PSTN--PRI--CME--SCCP--VG224--Fax
I have tried several combination of fax relay and passthrough on the devices but cannot successfully send a fax.
Calling works fine.
Can send debugs and config if needed.

For realiable fax, do not use SCCP.
Use instead H.323 or SIP, and Fax relay.

Hi Paola,
I agree 100%, however the customer will be supporting this.
I personally prefer to use H323 over anything, but its a bit more complicated to learn than simple MGCP or SCCP.
I need to be able to hand my customer a good working configuration and simplify the managment of it. SCCP configuration is much simpler than H323.

The good, working configuration is H.323 or SIP, with fax relay.
Then, if your customer wants instead a non-working fax, deviating from the above is a good way to achieve it.

Try the following configuration.
On the CME router,
voice service voip
modem passthrough nse codec g711ulaw
fax protocol none
On the VG224,
voice service voip
modem passthrough nse codec g711ulaw
fax protocol none
If faxing is still failing, please collect the following,
From both VG224 and CME,
show version
show run
Enable the the following debugs and collect them for a failed fax call.
On the VG224,
debug voip rtp session named
debug voip ccapi inout
debug voip vtsp default
On the CME router,
debug isdn q931
debug voip ccapi inout
debug voip rtp session named
debug voip vtsp default
Note the calling and called party numbers.

Hello Felipe,
I received this message from the sending device... Dont believe this is going to help much if the remote end doesnt answer. I am sending from a fax device at my office to the customer, where faxing is failing. I am unable to test outbound at this time. In any case, I am including the debugs as requested.
Your fax could not be sent to 18479837052 @ 18479837052
The following error was reported: No answer at destination
3 redial attempts were made.
Calling number is 6505
Called is 7502

BTW... When i call in, i hear silence. My voice can be heard over the fax machine's speaker, but its like im not getting an initialization tone from the customer side

Can you please attach the output of "show run" and "show version" from both VG224 and CME router.
