CMR/CDR Jitter, MOS, Packet Loss, Delay, QOS, Quality Report

Hi,

I am looging fot the way of verifying Jitter, MOS, Packet Loss, Delay, QOS for the Cisco IP 78xx sereis phones.
For Previous models 79xx series, it was possible to verify the quality of connection in several places:
- on the display by pressing "?" twice while on call
- on the phone's web site, while on call, by checkig Stream1 properties
- in the CMR records

Currently I am unable to see this date in any of the locations.
When makieng a call between 7821 phone -> 7942 phone,
it is not possible to see this data on the Display (Call Statistics) or on the HTTP site of the phone.
In the CMR I can just see MOS values of the destination - 7942 phone, but no MOS values of 7821.

Was this functionality erased, or is it firmware related?
Should it be configured in any way.

CUCM version 9.1.2

phone firmware: sip78xx.10-2-1-12

Service parameters:
CDR Enable Parameter - Enabled
Call Diagnostics Parameters - Enabled
CAR:

Load CDR only is checked

Regards

Piort

Hi Piotr,

It looks to be related to the following

https://tools.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCus33653/?reffering_site=dumpcr

78XX phone not sending Call statistics in the 200OK.
CSCus33653

Symptom:
78XX phone not sending Call statistics in the 200OK.

Conditions:
This feature was removed as a part of CSCum48921.As a result of this the phones with latest firmwares will not send call statistics.

CSCum48921fix made the phone to send no statistics as the phones sends 0 in the MOS field. The CUCM DE confirmed that the CUCM can accept MOS value of zero.

Please see the comments from DE below:

"From the CUCM perspective, it will not validate the values of ?VQMetrics? in ?RTP-RxStat? header, so a value of 0 would be accepted by CUCM and it would not validate or throw error in these cases. "

Workaround:
none

Try upgrading to one of the fixed versions.

Hi Manish,

Thank you for your answer.

I have upgraded the phone firmware to 10.3.x, and the MOS value is indeed presented as 0.00 now.

My intention however is to be able to see actual MOS values in the CMRs generated by 78XX and 88XX devices.

Is this feature supported by these devices?
