Codec at Intercluster Trunk

hi,

we have two CUCM cluster. One 7.1.3 und on 7.1.5. Between is a non gatekeeper controlled intercluster trunk. all works fine.

intracluster calls gos always with G722 Codec.

But Calles from one cluster to the otehr always has Codec G711. why not G722? In serviceparameters the inter and intraclustercodec is set to g711/g722. at all phones g722 is enabled.

Hi Albacom,

Could you please confirm if the MTP is checked or unchecked on the TRUNK?

If checked , could you please uncheck and test it ?

media termination point is unchecked at both clusters. codec still is g711

Can you make sure you have the following set up:

2672 >> cluster 1

is in DP >> USIF_Admin3-dp
region >> USUCM-722-req

ICT is in device pool GK_INTL_DP
region >> test

6587 >> cluster 2
device pool >> KR-DP
region >> korea

ICT is in DP >> MPLS
region >> g722

the Service parameter for G722 is set to enabled for all devices
Please put the phone and the ICT in the same device pool and region on both
the ends and then reset the device pools on both the ends and then make
a test call.
