What is the official limit of calls allowed when conferencing on 8900 or 8800 series ip phones? Can not find anything in any Cisco ip phone user guide that answers this question. I remember 6?
Thanks. Tommy

Hi Tommy,
This is a configurable setting on the Call Control system itself.
You would need to check the Maximum Adhoc Conference Participants settings
Both Ad Hoc and MeetMe conferences have a configurable setting that limits the number of participants (Software Conference Bridge);
Clusterwide Parameters (Service)
Maximum Ad Hoc Conference = 4 (default)
Maximum MeetMe Conference Unicast = 4 (default)
The default number of Maximum Adhoc Participants (per Conference) is set at 4.
To increase the Maximum number of Adhoc participants
Go to:
Service Parameters Configuration >Clusterwide Parameters (Service)>Maximum Adhoc Conference
Cheers!

Rob,
Thanks alot for that info, that is what i was thinking, that is was a "global" setting in the cluster. I found it set at 6 for us.
Thanks again, and have a great day!

Hi,
Does it require any kind of restart to reflect the new limit? We are not able to make 4 party conference via Tapi.exe however it works fine with Cisco softphone.
