Configure Key Expansion Module on 8831 with SIP / Asterisk

Hi guys,

A customer has just sent me a few Cisco CP8831 conferece phones to configure to use with his Asterisk-based IPPBX. He has also sent a few Key Expansion Modules along with them and I am just wondering how they are configured. Do I put special keys in the SEP<MAC.cnf.xml file or is there an external XML configuretion file I need to add? Can someone point me in the right direction or send me an example configuration?

The 8831 does not support KEMs.

Do you refer on adding KEM on a certain device, other than CP-8831, if yes what type?

Definitely, Open Speaker Phones do not support expansion modules.
