Hi All,
We've a CUCM 7.1 and Voice Gateway is Cisco 2821 which is configured as H.323.
Now I want to configure New Extensions 9XX,8XX,7XX and 6XX with DID range as 223450XX to 23459XX which will be routed via new PRI.
I am not sure what is the best way is to approach the task.
Thanks,
Shameem

Hi Shameen,
your Telco has given DID range from 50XX to 59XX.So, you can assign last four digits of the number as IP phone extensions.
Starting extension could be 5600 , 5601... 5699, 5700, 5701....., 5799,5800......5899,5900 till 5999.

I would put a translation pattern on the voice port and strip the DID range back to 4 digits to make them internal as well.

Thanks Dennis, it would be great if you share any documentation which has a step by step procedure to accomplish this..

Having said by Aman that you have already DID from 50XX -59XX accordingly you can configure your extension on CUCM.
to get the call working mulitple way to do it.
this would be your call flow for incoming call from Telco with above DID
TELCO----PRI---GW--H323---CUCM
1) you can have significant digit set 4 on H.323 Gateway so that CUCM will accept only last 4 digit of the number and strip rest.
2) second would create a translation pattern below
voice translation-rule 1
rule 1 /.*\(5...\)/ /\1/
voice translation-profile did
translate called 1
apply this profile either on voice-port or incoming dial-peer pots so that call hitting the dial-peer /voice-port will take 4 digit and strip rest of all.
dial-peer voice 1 pots
translation-profile incoming did
or
if voice-port then
voice-port 0/0/0:23
translation-profile incoming did
you need to create a voip dial-peer point to CUCM with destination-pattern 5...
do any above configure you will achieve your requirement.
