Confirgure cisco 7821 phone on CME

Hello All,

I have bought Cisco 7821 phones and unable to get them registered with CME 7.1, and have found that the current IOS does not these phones.

Please find the show version output below and recommend a suitable IOS. A quick reply will be a great help.

CME 7.1 does not support 7821 phone models

You can add them starting version CME 10.0 in Fast Track mode and then from CME 10.5 support for these phones is included natively.

I have upgraded the IOS but none of the phones coming up, pls help

Can you provide the phone configuration and also confirm the below:

1. Whether the phone is getting IP address and TFTP details from DHCP

2. What is the status message showing on the phone

3. Below debugs for one phone which you are trying to register along with MAC address of phone

I am referring to the existing phones (7911, 7945 and CIPC) , and the new phones 7821 are yet to be configured.

For your information I have existing running-configuration available on the router

Can you configure this and try now:

voice service voip

no ip address trusted authenticate

There is toll fraud feature starting wiwth IOS 15.1 (2). So configure this and the phones will register. Later you can enable this feature and add all the required IP address using the below procedure
