Confrence calls on CME

Currently we have the ability to have 3 way confrence calls with our CME and desk phones. Any larger groups use Skype.

During this national lockdown we are having issues with Skypes reliability and quality.

We have IP communicator installed and working for all staff, so is there a way we can setup and use multiple staff dialling into one call. Either with CME or some VM we could spin up.

As a side note, does anyone have suggestions for any on prem alternative to Skype.

Current time means no budget for anything expensive.

With CME in order to allow more than 3 participants in a conference bridge you would need to use Hardware PVDMs as conferencing sessions.  If you do have available PVDMs you can follow the CME guide on configuring the conference bridges: https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucme/admin/configuration/manual/cmeadm/cmeconf.html

The on-prem conferencing solution is CMS, doesn't really integrate with CME as it does with CUCM in which you can use it for ad-hoc, but you should be able to dial into pre-configured conference numbers using a SIP trunk.

You can look into Webex's offering due to the COVID-19 if you're not already using it.
